Flight Incident

Hahaha, last monday, there was another flight incident. A Merpati's Boeing 737-331 reg code PK-MBP hit an ox while landing on runway 16 at Mopah Airport, Merauke, Papua. According to some articles, the ATC said that the runway was clear before the Merpati flight landed at the runway. Suddenly, while the plane was about to touchdown, some oxen ran across the runway!! WTF!! Unfortunately, one of them was hit by the landing plane in high-speed and its body slammed the left engine and then slammed the tail of the plane. Of course, it died instantly. As a result, the aircraft was grounded and it will need about 2 weeks to get fully fixed again. Luckily, there is no other victim beside the ox.

Haha, this is funny. I mean, this incident shows us that the air transport safety especially in East Indonesia is still not really good. There should be no animals around the runway of the airport. Even a small innocent bird could cause a big tragedy if it flies near the runway!! Of course, the airport is responsible for that.

Well, the ATC said that the runway was clear. Obviously, the oxen at that time were somewhere NEAR the runway (logically). If the ATC said the runway was clear, then we can say that it is USUAL for them that some animals hanging around the runway there!! Wah!! If this has become an acceptable thing, it's SO dangerous!!

Haha, IF Indonesia wants the European Union to withdraw their embargo of Indonesian Airlines to fly there, well, Indonesia still have some homeworks to do. Not only checking the airlines, but also the safety and facilities of each airport. Even, Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (the 2nd busiest airport in Indonesia) is determined as not meeting the security standards of the International Civil Aviation Administration by the Transportation Security Administration of the United States of America (the article was made in 2005). Wah!!

Yesterday I watched the tenth episode of TARA 2. All teams left Prague and went to Budapest, Hungary. Adrian & Collin were smart by using the internet to find the fastest train to go to Budapest. They had 1.5 hours lead. After some tasks and fluctuate rank changing (Marc & Rovilson were #4 on some points of the race, that was 'wow!!'), Paula & Natasha came last... :( Lucky twas a NEL (it's the last NEL this season, I bet), hehe... :D Yeaahh!! Go Paula & Natasha!! Anyway, from this episode, I can really say that Marc & Rovilson are really damn so competitive, they in the end finished #2... :)

Anyway, after waiting for six months, finally now I buy a printer (wkwkwkw, I know a printer is important for me and I have always wanted to have one since abt 6 monts ago, but I just bought it this afternoon, LOL). I bought a Canon Pixma iP1880 at BEC. Then, myh friend and I had a mini 'culinary' trip today in Bandung, haha... :) First we went to Sara Bakery and ate ice cream there (eventho it was cloudy, but somehow I wanted to eat ice cream, LOL). After that we went to BSM (since twas about to rain). Then, we had lunch at Bakso Malang Enggal at Burangrang St. Twas pretty good (tasty) and cheap!! One portion on the pic below only cost Rp 8,000.oo :D After that, we went to Toga Mas Bookstore and ended up w/ nothing (anyway, finally I found a Toga Mas in Bandung!! haha... :D I have known there's at least 1 Toga Mas in Bandung since last year, but I dun remember where). After that we had dinner at a warung sate at Pajajaran... :) Ah, I gottabe savvy now... :D

Yeah, finally tomorrow is my OFF Day!! Cool!!

Haha, time really flies. This Monday is the last day for me in Jogjakarta on this year-end holiday, tomorrow I'm going back to Bandung (via Jakarta first).

Anyway, I have spent so much money this weekend since I bought new shoes, new sandals, and MANY new clothes, grrr... . Actually I dun want to spend that much money, but my mom forced me to do so, grrr... . haha ;)

Btw, this afternoon my friend and I hanged out together. We played bowling (since I wanted to buy 6 cheap black shocks at Saphir Square, hehe... :D). I scored 76 on the first round (grrr, so bad) and 128 on the second round (good! haha... :D). Then, we went to Galeria. Wendy's moved from 2nd floor to the Ground Floor It's a good move for Wendy's but bad move by the management of the mall, I think. Why? Because Wendy's is a restaurant and somehow it could attract more people. If it's upstairs, people will go up, and the mall will be more 'alive'. If they're on the Ground Floor, people won't really be attracted to go upstairs. It's just my hypothesis tho... :) Btw, today my Merpati Easy Flyer Card finally arrived at my home, hehe... :D

Then, because my fragrance in Bandung is now in recession mode aka nearly completely 'dry', I took a new fragrance in Kassaya's office to be brought to Bandung, wkwkwkw... lol. I took Benetton United Color Unisex / Green (at first I actually wanted to take the 'Men' / Blue but then, I feel that aroma is a bit standard (strong), while this one is more fresh, hehe... :D)

Btw, today I watched the finale of TAR 12. All three teams went to the final destination city, Anchorage, Alaska. The Detour was "Cut The Cod" or "Grab The Crab". Ronald & Christina always were in #1 until the roadblock. On the Roadblock, Rachel was lucky and she could pass Christina. Then, the winner was TK & Rachel!! Arrggghhh, I really wish twas Ronald & Christina, but TK & Rachel is also fine. They're my second option, hehe... :) Congratz TK & Rachel!! :)

Last Thursday, I wacthed the ninth episode of TARA 2. All teams still stayed in Czech Republic. There was an Intersection. Adrian & Collin were intersected with Marc & Rovilson, Ann & Diane with Pamela & Vanessa, and Paula & Natasha with Henry & Terri. Poor Paula & Natasha, they gotta wait for 5 hours before Henry & Terri arrived. I really like they way Paula cheered Natasha when they were waiting. I think it would be more interesting if Pamela & Vanessa decided to wait for Paula & Natasha instead of working with Ann & Diane, hehe.... ;)

Anyway, the Roadblock Task (jumping from a tower to a pool) wasn't that scary, but what happened to Vanessa really made it a lot scarier (she lost her memories temporarily). Wow... . Paula & Natasha were smart by choosing Snap Detour. I forgot that Henry & Terri got a 30 minutes penaly, and I was worried whether Henter could pass Paula & Natasha or not (I shouldn't be worry since Henter got 30 mins penalty but I forgot), haha... ;) It's great Paula & Natasha made it and Henter got eliminated. But grr, for the seventh time in a row, Marc & Rovilson were #1 again, grrr.....

Anyway, yesterday I went to a barbershop and got my hair cut and colored, haha... ;) Then, because my bag in Bandung is now too 'old' and 'teared' pretty badly, so yesterday I bought a new bag, haha. It's pretty expensive actually Rp 240,000.00. Yesterday evening I went to Malioboro Mall after dropping my bro by at a hotel to have a CL (Candlelight) exercise for his friend's b'day party today. I had dinner at pizza hut and ate beef fettucini and meat lovers pizza, haha... ;) I also take away chicken fave pizza.

Today my friends and I hanged out together. At first we went to Ramai Department Store first to pick up one of my friends (grr, he was late tho). Then, we went to Ambarrukmo Plaza. Well, actually my friend was looking for a screen-guard and so we accompanied him. Then, he also 'insisted' us to eat snow-ice, haha... ;) I had never eaten snow-ice before but I knew twas expensive and at first I didn't really want to go there, but hell yeah, okay so I went there. I ordered Cappucino Al Pacino Snow Ice (apparently, twas from Taiwan).

After that, we went to Merpati's Office to ask for my Easy-Flyer Card. Well, it's now being processed tho. Damn, they still can't give me the exact date when the Bandung - Jogja flight will be reopened again. Then, we went to Galeria since my friend wanted to buy the Indonesian version of Harry Potter 7 at Toga Mas Bookstore. There, we also went to Time Zone. Anyway, in TZ I was damn so lucky. Well, I got the bonus point (jackpot) on my first trial of a machine, wkwkwkwkw.... LOL. In the end, I exchanged all the tickets I got w/ a CD-Case. After that we had dinner at Kona Restaurant (near Galeria). I ate Bulgogi there. Then, we went back home

Monday 14th January

Grrr, Merpati sucks, they can't give me the certain answer whether the Bandung - Jogja flight is gonnabe reopened this Thursday or not, grrr... . Therefore yesterday I went to Garuda Indonesia office and bought a ticket to Jakarta. Apparently, starting today, the fuel-surcharge is gonnabe raised by Rp 20,000.oo (so, because I bought the ticket yesterday it means that I saved Rp 20,000.oo, hehehe... :D). Okay, so next week I'm going back to Bandung via Jakarta catching Garuda Indonesia GA 209 on 22nd January.

Btw, yesterday I also watched the second to last episode of TAR 12. All teams left Osaka Japan and went to Taipei, Taiwan. TK & Rachel got to perform a Speed-Bump, but yet they were saved by the equalizer, haha... . In the end, because of bickering and wrong strategy, Nathan & Jennifer were last and got eliminated. Wah, poor them. Anyway, Ronald & Christina won the leg!! Yeah!! Now, Ronald & Christina for the win!! :)

So, last Monday evening, we celebrated my grandma's 77th birthday at Silla Restaurant (after taking some photos at my house (photos will be uploaded later, IF I'm not lazy to do so nor forget to do it, LOL)). Well, it had been really long for me since the last time I ate at Silla, hehehehe... :) I remembered there was a great menu at Silla but I didn't remember the name, hmm... . So, I made a guess and twas right!! hahahaha... ;) Then, we went back home

Tuesday morning, I accompanied my father to survey a small place in west Jogjakarta. Well, just surveying tho, hehehe... ;) Then, we went back home. At Tuesday afternoon, my relatives from Surabaya went back to Surabaya. Tuesday evening, my family and relatives from Jakarta went to Mie Doring (Javanese Noodle, the same one as we ate 2 weeks ago. Last night, I had 'mie kuah', hehehe... ;) Actually I like Doring better rather than Mie Kadin, hmm...

Today, my relatives from Jakarta went back home. Hah, now they're all back!! Hehehe, I finally can take a rest for a while. So, this evening, just as usual, I went to Malioboro Mall, and after that had dinner at Bakso Ito.

Btw, I'm so happy, I just got AGs (autographs) from the racers of TARA 2 (Paula, Marc, Rovilson, and Terri) when they had a Christmas Gathering in Manila last December, huahahaha... (proud). Thanks to blue from AXN Forum!! :-) Look at the pic below

Anyway, tomorrow afternoon I'm going back to Bandung catching Garuda Indonesia GA 209 to Jakarta first, then catching a travel to Bandung... ;) On Saturday, I'm going back to Yogyakarta...

Haha, these days have been really 'full' for me. Some relatives come from Jakarta and Surabaya and I of course accompanied them to go to some places in Yogyakarta. On Friday evening we had dinner at Mie Kadin. It's a Javanese Noodle, hehe, just like Doring.

Then, on Sunday we went to Boyong Kalegan (again, for me), hehe... :) Actually the meal in Boyong is not really delicious. However the owner was really smart by not only creating a restaurant but also a recreational site. Some others restaurants are actually a lot more delicious than Boyong but since the owners only created restaurants, nothing more (no more plus(es)), they are nearly to bankruptcy now. Sunday evening, we had dinner at Cok Diam Fried Rice (it's only a 'warung' on the curb of the street, not a big restaurant). I dunno, but I think usually the fried rice is a lot more tasty than last evening, I dunno why

Today is my grandma's 77th birthday!! Congratz!! hehe... ;) So, this morning we went to Parangtritis Beach (where my grandpa's ashes were 'sent' about 11.5 years ago). We thought today is a perfect moment because all my grandparents' children are now in Yogya, hehe... ;) So, at 10 AM we went there. Unluckily, it was raining pretty hard!! Arrrghhh... . So, eventho we already arrived at the beach, we gotta wait for abt 1 hr. Then, we went back to Jogja and had lunch at Soeharti Restaurant. There will be a celebration tonight, and the update will be posted later, hehe... ;)

TARA 2 leg 6

Last Thursday I watched the seventh episode of TARA 2. All teams stayed in Korea, they just went from Busan to Seoul. As we (forumers) had predicted before, twas a NEL, hehe (and next leg there would be an "Intersection"). WTF, Marc & Rovilson were #1 again!! Arrrgggghhhh.... . Now it's boring, damn it. #1 five times consecutively?? Damn!! Anyway, Henry & Terri came in last and they got penalty. The shocking news is that twas not a 'marked-for-elimination' penalty but a 'taking-away-all-money' penalty.

Hmm, personally I think the penalty was wrong since there would be an equalizer next leg. That equalizer would make this penalty not-so-burdening since Henter could beg for money at the airport, on board, or sumwhere else. If twas a 'marked-for-elimination' penalty, they still got burden on their shoulders which was they gotta come in first OR they would get a 30 minutes penalty, hmmm... . I think the penalty placing was reversed with the one Edwin & Monica had on the first leg. Since there was no equalizer on the 2nd leg, then why should they get a 'marked-for-elimination' penalty? They were already in last, no chance to catch up (no equalizer), and there was no point for adding another 30 minutes on their shoulders... ;) The penalty became useless

Anyway, I think next leg, there would be an intersection (following the pattern on TAR 10 and TAR 11, an intersection in top 6 in a leg after a NEL). So, according to some spoilers, it's gonnabe in Prague, Czech Republic. Take a look at the pic below (pic #3) which was taken by a local on 17th July 2007, hehe... ;) We can see Adrian & Collin (look at their clothes) and an intersection sign (compare with pic #4, the intersection sign on TAR 10 (Madagascar Leg)). Haha, so I think it's gonnabe in Prague. Wow, they went to Europe!! Interesting!! :)

New Year Eve

Haha, last Monday was the last day of the year 2007. At that day my friend and I went to a Bowling Alley and played 1 game. I won!! hahaha... . Eventho my scoring was not really satisfying (96) >> it's because I haven't played for a pretty long time, LOL. Then we went to my home to surf the net. However, at about 1.30 PM the electricity went out! Arrrggghhhhhh..... . Okay then, at 3 PM we had lunch at Warung Steak. I didn't want to order a 'fake' steak so I ordered an original steak, which was better, hehe... ;)

Btw, my last New Year Eve was the most boring of the last 5 years. Comparisons:

~ 2002 (5 years ago) : I celebrated it in Sarangan, East Java.
~ 2003 (4 years ago) : I celebrated it in Bangkok, Thailand (in a hotel club)
~ 2004 (3 years ago) : I celebrated it in the street in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Frustrating, but fun (a lot of people sprayed other people (strangers) w/ foam). After that I watched a James Bond Movie, hehe... ;) (Die Another Day)
~ 2005 (2 years ago) : At this time, in Quality Hotel, Yogyakarta
~ 2006 (1 year ago) : At this time, in JW Marriott Hotel, Surabaya
~ 2007 (last Monday) : nowhere, just stayed at home

Last New Year Eve, I just surfed the net, and at 12 midnight I went to the 3rd floor of my house and watched fire-works in Yogyakarta. Twas everywhere, every where I turn around I could see fireworks, LOL

Btw, last Monday I also watched the eight episode of TAR 12. All teams left Florence, Italy and went to Mumbai, India. Since last leg was a NEL and Kynt & Vyxsin were last, so they gotta perform an additional task in India (a new twist on the race, SPEED BUMP). The Speed-Bump was a yoga class. Kynt & Vyxsin had a good lead actually, but they went last due to equalizer and Speed-Bump. Then, after the Detour there was the second and last U-Turn on the race. Kynt & Vyxsin saw Nathan & Jennifer left before them on the Detour and assuming Nate & Jen were in front of them. Actually, Kynt & Vyxsin were team number 4 and Nate & Jen got lost and were behind them. Vyxsin got a gut-feeling that they should u-turn Nate & Jen. However, Kynt was being very logic and analytical by assuming Nate & Jen were in front of them, and he u-turned the usually slow Nicolas & Don (who were ahead of them). Damn It! Because of that, Nate & Jen could catch up. Kynt & Vyxsin messed up a bit on the Road-Block and came last in the pitstop. Kynt & Vyxsin got eliminated... :( Arrrrggghhhh, Kynt & Vyxsin are my fave team this season!!
